Horizon: Forbidden West
Horizon will release its latest instalment of the futuristic roleplaying game this year. The game will be a PS4/PS5 exclusive. The story will continue with protagonist Aloy as she travels on her world-saving mission across America. The story will revolve around meeting tribes from different regions and unlocking the mysteries of a world ruled by machines. New areas also mean newer deadlier monsters. Horizon relied a lot on its story and gameplay and if the game continues to do so it should do very well.
The story of Gotham Knights takes place after the demise of Batman. He has left the security of Gotham in the hands of his extended bat family⦠Batgirl, Robin, Nightwing and Red Hood. With Batman gone, there is chaos as each villain attempts to conquer the city and make it their own. The gameplay is a third-person action RPG that seems very similar to Arkham Asylum. Each character in the game has its progression and exclusive perks and weapons that unlock as you progress. The actual release date for the game is not known but it is scheduled to release in 2022. The game will be available on PC, Xbox and PlayStation.
Bethesda, the creators of games like open-world role-playing games like Skyrim and Fallout, are now branching out with a completely new title. Starfield will be an Xbox/PC exclusive since Microsoft now owns Bethesda. The game is supposed to be a Skyrim in space which means it will be a game of epic proportions. You will be able to customise your character and explore the depths of space. The entire game has been built on the company's all-new Creation Engine 2. The developers have already shown several parts of the game and also recently launched a trailer for the game.
Gran Turismo is also set to make a comeback along with its ridiculously good-looking cars. The real car simulator will feature over 420 vehicles and 90 tracks with dynamic weather. The game will offer competitive online play with up to 20 other racers, a campaign mode and a driving school. You will be able to tune and tweak your cars the way you like them. The game is again a Sony exclusive so we won't be seeing it on PC or Xbox. However, it will be available on both the PS4 and PS5.
Saints Row was a ridiculous and fun game title which by its fourth instalment was over the top and wacky. The developers of Deep Silver Volition have now taken a step back and decided to relaunch the game. The recent reveal trailer from the group shows that the game hasn't lost its chaotic charm. With a host of new characters, this might even be more interesting. The new location called Santo Ileso is the biggest map of any Saints Row and it has cities, deserts and rundown towns. There seems to be three major gangs at play and defeating them to be the kingpin will not be easy. Saints Row will be available on PC, Xbox and PlayStation.
Elden Ring is a collaboration between Game of Thrones writer George RR Martin and Dark Souls designer Hidetaka Miyazaki. The entire back story written by Martin and the game will spiritually feed off the work done in Dark Souls. The game will offer a large open world where the players can go around exploring ruins and of course fighting impossibly hard opponents. The game has released a trailer and had a beta run. Needless to say, it looks beautiful enough to rack up a record number of preorders and collector's editions are already sold out, despite the game being released only in February.
