No change in race club committee

There will be no new faces on the committee of the Royal Western India Turf Club (RWITC) as no new candidates have filed nominations until the deadline of 5 pm on Monday.

All nine sitting committee members, having filed their nominations for re-election, therefore, continue for the next term, obviating the need for elections at the AGM scheduled for Thursday, September 21.

However, elections will be held for two seats on the Board of Appeal (BoA), as three club members - Shivlal Daga, Ashwin Mehta and Ms Zinia Lawyer - have thrown their hat in the ring.
