WWE SmackDown: Cena wins, Ambrose and The Miz enter Royal Rumble

WWE SmackDown Live saw WWE superstar John Cena defeat Baron Corbin in the main event match ahead of his WWE world title clash against AJ Styles at the Royal Rumble.

The 15-time World champion will look to equal Ric Flair's record of 16 world titles at the upcoming 2017 Royal Rumble event.

Earlier in the show, WWE Intercontinental champion Dean Ambrose hosted 'The Ambrose Asylum' with The Miz and his wife Maryse. After poking fun at him and presenting him with an award, Ambrose was attacked by Miz but managed to escape and in the process Maryse slapped her husband, The Miz.

Later on, Dean Ambrose and The Miz officially announced their entries at the Royal Rumble.

A week after Dolph Ziggler, who suddenly turned villainous and kicked Kalisto, faced him in a match and lost. Ziggler then went on to attack Kalisto and his friend Apollo Crews after the match.

American Alpha faced the Wyatt Family in a match for the SmackDown Live tag team titles and beat thenm after unintentional interference from Luke Harper. Randy Orton and Harper then got into an argument and when Bray Wyatt tried to calm things down, he was accidentally kicked by Harper.

Becky Lynch and WWE SmackDown Live's women's champ were scheduled in a Steel Cage match for the title for the next edition of SmackDown Live by General Manager Daniel Bryan.

Natalya and Nikki Bella who resumed their rivalry started brawling throughout their match and had to be stopped by WWE officials. Natalya eventually got the upper hand and used the Sharpshooter on Nikki Bella.
