Supporters and critics of Tiger Woods turned the golf superstar's website into their own forum after the world's top golfer announced plans to take an indefinite break from the sport.

One supporter wrote: "What was done was very wrong. You broke a solemn vow to your wife and caused tremendous pain to your family. I believe you have learned your lesson. There must be tremendous pressure on you. Women must throw themselves at you. To me, you will always be a role model and I still respect you as a player and a man."
