PUTTING HIS HAND UP: Inter Milan striker Milito |
Inter striker Diego Milito insists that his side will aim for all three points against Barcelona when they meet in the Champions League tonight.
If things go don't way, defending champions Barcelona could make an exit today.
"We arrived here in Barcelona at a good time and we hope to win and qualify," the former Genoa star explained to the press, according to inter.it.
"The victory in Kiev gave us the peace of mind and spirit to tackle the match tomorrow evening. If we win, in addition to qualification, it will give us a huge morale boost."
The teams met earlier in the season at the San Siro, playing out a tame 0-0 draw.
"How have things changed since the first leg in Milan? I think our team played a great match at the [Stadio Giuseppe] Meazza, especially in the first-half," mused the Argentina international.
"We must remember that we played against the champions and we managed to make it difficult."
Meanwhile, the player's impressive scoring rate has seen him become a fan favourite very quickly, with nine goals in 13 matches in all competitions for the club.
"I have replaced [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic in the hearts of the fans? I'm happy, it is not easy to replace a player like him, who has won so much I have yet to do so," he said.
Arsenal seek a win to book place in last 16
Arsenal will seek to secure qualification for the last 16 of the Champions League with victory over Standard Liege at the Emirates Stadium tonight.
After a 1-0 Premier League defeat at Sunderland last weekend ended a 13-match unbeaten run in all competitions, Wenger conceded his team must improve going forwards against the Belgians tomorrow night.
Victory would clinch top spot in Group H with a match to spare a scenario which perhaps seemed unlikely when Arsenal were 2-0 down inside five minutes of the opening game in Liege.
