Beijing: British sprinter Mo Farah thought about his family as he was crowned with 10,000m glory at the World Championships on Saturday in Beijing.

He is normally accompanied by his wife Tania Nell, step daughter Rihanna and twin daughters Aisha and Amani, but not this time."It would have been good to see them here, because they have been at every championship so far. But my wife is expecting. This is for everyone who supported me and believed in me," he was quoted as saying in The Telegraph.

Farah indicated in the Sunday Express that he misses his family: "My wife sends me videos of the kids and you just want to be there. The twins are talking now and having proper conversations. They are growing up so fast. It's hard but daddy has to do what he has to do. This is my job to go out there and train. "I spend seven months of the year away from my family, year-in and year-out.

It's not easy so when I stand on the podium, it's one of the proudest moments for me." His association coach Alberto Salazar came under the US Anti-Doping Agency scanner but he shrugged it off by saying, "sometimes there are certain things that happen out of your control.

You can only control what you do - and I am, by winning races. I genuinely never thought that I'd be come here year after year and keep doing it, because sometimes you don't plan that. You have to stay injury-free, stay focused and it's not easy. I'm 32 now, and it's nice still to be winning races at that age."
