Timo Glock is convinced seven-times world champion Michael Schumacher will return to Formula One.
The speculation surrounding Schumacher's potential comeback after three years away is beginning to reach fever pitch with suggestions that he has already agreed a deal to race for Mercedes GP, although the 40-year-old has so far refused to confirm or deny anything.
German compatriot Glock, however, who will next year drive for the new Virgin Racing team, firmly believes Schumacher will be in F1 in 2010.
"There's still speculation, but in the end he is a crazy race driver, and he wants to come back to racing," said Glock.
"It's not enough for him to just do go-kart races, or go to the Race of Champions at the end of the year.
"The flame is still burning within him, and it will be great for Formula One if he comes back. My personal feeling is that he is coming back. For F1 and the fans it would be a big boost, a seven-time world champion coming back after three years out. And to drive for Mercedes, you would have a German driver in a German car."
