Rafael Nadal ran out his 31st consecutive match win at his home Barcelona Open yesterday to reach the quarter-finals at the expense of Colombian qualifier Robert Farah 6-2, 6-3.

He will face Serb fifth seed Janko Tipsarevic, who put out Frederico Gil of Portugal 6-2, 6-2 in their third-round match. Second seed Andy Murray crushed Colombia's Santiago Giraldo in a powerful 6-1, 6-2 display to set up a showdownu00a0with Milos Raonic.
