Atharva Bhosale finished with match figures of 12 for 41 as IES VN Sule Guruji (Dadar) registered an innings and 172-run win over Gokuldham High School (Goregaon) in their second round match on Day Two of the Giles Shield Elite division tie at Karnatak SA, Cross Maidan yesterday Atharva (8-34) bowled a consistent line as he ripped apartthe Gokuldham batting line up to bowl out the Goregaon school for 118 in their second innings after being made to follow on. The left-arm spinner was the wrecker-in-chief in the first innings too, as he bagged 4-7 to bowl Gokuldham out for 77.

Earlier, the Dadar school had amassed a first innings score of 367 for 4.


Adil Sayyed

Adil stars for Al-Barkaat
At Bombay Gymkhana, Adil Sayyed's splendid bowling (7-7) helped Al-Barkaat MMI English School (Kurla) register an innings and 208-run win over Balmohan Vidyamandir (Marathi).

Leg-spinner Adil's bowled an impeccable spell to bowl out the Dadar outfit for 54 in their second innings after they were dismissed for 33 in their first essay.
Earlier, Harsh Mogaverra scored a century (140) to help the Kurla school post a healthy total of 295-6 decl on Day One.


Zenith Sachdev

Gundecha reach Zenith
Spinner Zenith Sachdev's seven-wicket haul (7-46) helped Gundecha Education Academy (Kandivli) defeat Green Bombay Urdu High School (Kurla) by nine wickets to win their second round match at Islam Gymkhana yesterday. The Gundecha boys achieved their target of 32 in no time to clinch the win after Green Bombay were bowled out for 176 in their second innings. The Kandivli school had managed 75 on Day One.

Earlier, Gundecha amassed a first innings total of 221 as medium pacer Abhishek Jaiswar grabbed 7-77.


Shwet More

Shwet powers Rizvi to win
Left-arm spinner Shwet More bagged a fifer (5-9) to guide Rizvi Springfield (Bandra) to win over VPMS Vidya Mandir (Dahisar) on the basis of first innings lead at Parsee Gym. Rizvi declared their first innings on their overnight score of 414-8. In reply, the Dahisar school were bundled out for 65 and then managed 125-2 after being made to follow on.
