Vina del Mar: Argentina winger Angel di Maria is looking forward to the prospect of having more space in which to work his magic against Colombia tonight, but knows the pay-off for that is likely to be an increased threat from their opponents at the other end of the pitch.

Argentina go into the Copa America quarter-final in Vina del Mar still unbeaten with seven points from their three games. However, the Albiceleste's star-studded attack, which also boasts the likes of Lionel Messi, Gonzalo Higuain and Sergio Aguero, have found goals hard to come by so far and have only managed to net four times.

Argentina were frustrated by minnows Jamaica in their last match as they only managed a 1-0 win, but Di Maria hopes his side's forwards will have greater freedom when they take on a more attack-minded Colombia.

The Manchester United player said in Ole newspaper: "Facing Colombia will be hard, but we will have more spaces to attack. It is always more difficult to play an opponent that waits with all their players at the back, than one who chooses to go in search of your goal.

"They (Colombia) also have talented players up front and will try to create their own spaces. If that happens it will be a two-way game."

Colombia can call on the talents of James Rodriguez, Radamel Falcao, Jackson Martinez and Juan Cuadrado in attack and have already shown what they are capable of after beating highly-fancied Brazil in a group encounter.
