Cook and former footballer Gary Lineker burns his fingers

England football great Gary Lineker burnt his fingers while trying his hand at cooking recently and promptly posted his blistered hands on Instagram with the message: "Must remember in future that when cooking, it's best and certainly less painful, not to cook myself."

The post drew reactions from many of his 960,000-strong followers, some of whom sympathised with, while others teased the former striker. Celebrity chef Clare Smyth wrote: "Leave the cooking up to the pros! See you soon!" Another fan wrote: "Welcome to MasterChef. This week, Gary has made twice cooked fingers."
