Mitchell Starc always prioritised playing for his country over IPL matches. He has played two seasons for Royal Challengers Banglore under the captaincy of Virat Kohli

In 2014, Mitchell Starc played 14 IPL matches in which he bowled 322 deliveries conceding 402 runs and picking 14 wickets. He had the best bowling figures of 2 for 21 runs that year against Rajasthan Royals. In this, he was awarded with the "Man of the Match" award

In 2015, the Australian speedster played 13 IPL matches in which he bowled 258 balls leaking 291 runs. He picked 20 wickets which included 1 four-wicket haul. His best bowling figures were 4 wickets for 15 runs against Kings XI Punjab

Starc has represented Australia in 82 test matches and he hopes that he completes playing 100 test matches for his country. He has 333 wickets including fourteen 5 wicket hauls and two 10 wicket haul

Starc said, "I don't want to look too far ahead with anything but I hope to do well in the 50-over World Cup 2023 in India"
