T20 World Cup 2024: Disney+ Hotstar to include Indian sign language and Audio descriptive feed

As the T20 World Cup 2024 is inching closer, Disney+ Hotstar on the occasion of Global Accessibility Awareness announces the availability of an Indian sign language and Audio descriptive feed during the mega event. The initiative will be available for 10 matches with all Team India matches, along with semi-finals and finals.

This will be the first time, a T20 World Cup will be made available with a sign language and descriptive commentary for deaf, hard-of-hearing and visually impaired viewers.

The Indian Sign Language will update the information of each and every ball throught the presence of a translator. The audio descriptive feed will be complemented by voice-over technology for specific pages, which can render text and images into a speech output, enabling our visually impaired users to easily navigate through the Disney+ Hotstar app.

The mega clash of the global showpiece, India vs Pakistan will be playeed on June 9 at the same venue. The clashes against the USA and Canada will be played on June 12 and 15, respectively.

Rohit Sharma will be leading the "Men in Blue" ahead of the World Cup. Star all-rounder Hardik Pandya is appointed as the deputy of Rohit Sharma in the T20 World Cup 2024. Shubman Gill, Rinku Singh missed the cut in the main squad, but will travel with the team as reserves. Yuzvendra Chahal and Sanju Samson again secured their places in the Indian squad.
