Former Australian Cricketer Shane Warne passed away at the age of 52 due to 'suspected heart attack'. As the legendary Australian cricketer passed away, Sachin Tendulkar shared a picture with Warne and penned a note to pay his tribute.

He wrote- "Shocked, stunned & miserable… Will miss you Warnie. There was never a dull moment with you around, on or off the field. Will always treasure our on field duels & off field banter. You always had a special place for India & Indians had a special place for you. Gone too young!"

Not only Tendulkar, some other sports and film personalities paid their tributes to the legend. Ricky Ponting, Virender Sehwag, Harbhajan Singh, Ajinkya Rahane, Shoaib Malik were the firsts to condole his demise and pay tribute.

Ponting wrote- "Devastated, we have lost a legend. Rod Marsh was a great player, a great coach and one of the best people I have ever met. My thoughts are with Ros, Paul, Dan and Jamie."

Virat Kohli stated- "Life is so fickle and unpredictable. I cannot process the passing of this great of our sport and also a person I got to know off the field. RIP #goat. Greatest to turn the cricket ball."

Shane Warne was a former Aussie cricketer who captained the national side in ODIs. Warne made his Test debut on January 2, 1992 against India. He played his last Test exactly 15 years later on January 2, 2007 against England. The veteran played a total of 145 Tests and took 708 wickets with best bowling figures of 8/71. He was the highest wicket-taker in Test history after Muralitharan surpassed him in 2007.

Shane Warne also was the only player to score 3,000 runs in Tests without a century to his name. Warne had taken 37 Test fifers which is the third highest in cricket history.
