Rajasthan Royals' pacer Avesh Khan showcased an outstanding show with the ball in the IPL 2024 eliminator against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Despite losing wickets in regular intervals, RCB managed to post 172 runs onboard.

Having needed to bat first in the IPL 2024 eliminator against Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bengaluru's captain and opening batsman Faf du Plessis departed after scoring 17 runs. Du Plessis smashed 2 fours and 1 six during his knock. Virat Kohli scored 33 runs off 24 balls which were laced with 3 fours and 1 six. With this, Kohli became the first-ever batsman in the history of the Indian Premier League to complete 8,000 runs. Later, Cameron Green returned to the pavilion after scoring 27 runs. His knock came in 21 balls including 2 fours and 1 six. Rajat Patidar accumulated 34 runs in 22 balls including 2 fours and 2 sixes, but failed to convert it into huge scores. On the very first ball of his innings, all-rounder Glenn Maxwell departed on a duck. Followed by Dinesh Karthik who scored 11 runs before getting caught into the hands of Yashasvi Jaiswal in Avesh Khan's over. In an attempt to guide RCB to a commendable total, Mahipal Lomror scored 32 runs. His 32-run knock came in 17 deliveries which were laced with 2 fours and 2 sixes.
RR's pacer Avesh Khan was the standout bowler in the IPL 2024 match against RCB. Avesh in his four overs leaked 44 runs and bagged three wickets. Completing their quota of four overs, Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal claimed two wickets each. Chahal conceded 43 runs and Ashwin on the other hand was smashed for just 19 runs. Rajasthan's lead pacer Trent Boult only managed to register one wicket for 16 runs in four overs. Sandeep Sharma was the most expensive bowler from Rajasthan's perspective. In his four overs spell, Sandeep leaked 48 runs for one wicket.
