Virat Kohli and Team India seem to be struggling as hosts post 144 runs for the loss of 6 wickets against England at lunch on the fifth and final day of the first Test match in Chennai today.

Opener Shubman Gill led the chase with a well-paced fifty before he was bowled by a stunning delivery by James Anderson. The England veteran paceman did not stop there and also scalped the wickets of Ajinkya Rahane (0) and Rishabh Pant (11) soon after. Dom Bess also managed to take the wicket of Washington Sundar (0). Team India captain Virat Kohli was unbeaten at the crease on 45 runs from 51 balls along with all-rounder R Ashwin by his side scoring 2.

James Anderson has been at the top of his game in the second innings with 3 big wickets for just 8 runs.

England posted a target of 420 for the hosts on Day 4 after a sensational innings by R Ashwin who took 6/61 and Ishant Sharma who reached the 300-wicket mark in Tests.
