The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has paid senior team head coach Amol Muzumdar his monthly remuneration since June, but the support staff members - bowling coach, fielding coach, bowling coach, physio and trainers - have yet to be paid. Even the selectors are waiting for their remuneration; their contracts not yet finalised.

Muzumdar was paid Rs 10 lakh for June and July as monthly remuneration. He will be paid Rs 50 lakh in a 10-month contract. While MCA secretary Sanjay Naik was unavailable for a comment, an MCA official blamed treasurer Jagdish Achrekar for the delay. "In our urgent Apex Council meeting recently it was decided that all contracts will be prepared by the treasurer. But nothing has happened," the official said.

Achrekar, however, clarified: "Our honorary secretary was looking after this aspect till now, but after the September 3 [urgent] Apex Council meeting, the responsibility of finalising these contracts is on my shoulders." Achrekar assured the contracts will be prepared soon and all dues to coaches, support staff members and selectors will be promptly cleared.
