India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni said that his team had scored fifty runs too many on a sluggish surface during their victory here at Uppal yesterday. "I thought 250 was a good total. We had about 50 runs extra on the board. But whatever happened was for the good," Dhoni told reporters after India's 126-run victory.
Dhoni lauded southpaw Ravindra Jadeja's (3-35 and 27) all-round effort. "Jadeja has brought stability to the side. He's an improved cricketer since 2009 ufffdhe has improved his batting a lot," he said. "I am glad that the winning feeling is back ufffdit's important to keep winning. The losing streak (in England) was a bit too long. I thought we began to regain our confidence in the batting department during the second half of the England tour. This (win) is a huge boost," he said.
Asked about the team composition for the next two games, Dhoni said: "We have to check about the due factor. I suspect due will play a big role in Delhi and Mohali. In that case, we might have to
look at our team," he said. The next one-dayer is on Monday.
