After their historic series win in Sri Lanka that ended a 22-year-old jinx, Team India, led by skipper Virat Kohli, was seen celebrating in their dressing room at Colombos SSC on Tuesday
It-s celebration time for Team India after they inflicted a 117-run drubbing on the Sri Lankans to end a 22-year wait for a series win on the island.
The Indian team will surely celebrate in style in the evening, but were a picture of relief and tiredness immediateluy after registering the win. The Indian board managed to capture the emotions of the team post-match as they entered the team-s dressing room to celebrate the win.
Most of the players and support staff were pictures of composure and tiredness, signalling the triumph with a thumbs up. But captain Virat Kohli-s broad smile, seamer Bhuvneshwar Kumar-s enthusiatic response and pacer Ishant Sharma-s yelp revealed what the series win means for the young team.

Talking after the match, Kohli termed the brilliant dressing room environment one of the primary reasons for the success. "Even players like Bhuvi Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Varun Aaron who did not play the last two Test matches were helping us out. Harbhajan Singh, who is such a senior player was also helping from outside. It was a collective effort. Everyone was raring to go and it-s a victory on which our Test careers will be built," the skipper said.
"Feels nice, especially with such a young team, early in our careers, it is a magnificent milestone winning here for the first time in 22 years," Kohli said after bagging his first Test series as captain.
The Indian cricket board tweeted with the video, "Smiles, cheers and a lot of fun. A peek into TeamIndia-s dressing room after the Test series win." The BCCI also posted it on their Facebook page.

BCCI congratulates Indian team on historic series win
The BCCI has congratulated the Indian cricket team on its first Test series win in Sri Lanka after 22 years as it lauded captain Virat Kohli for his "exceptional" role in building a new side and leading from the front.
India clinched the three-match series 2-1 after losing the first Test in Galle, enabling Kohli to register his first
series win as captain. BCCI President Jagmohan Dalmiya congratulated the team on its stupendous performance.
"On behalf of everyone in Indian cricket I would like to congratulate the Indian Cricket Team on their 2-1 Test series win in Sri Lanka. The magnitude of this brilliant win can be ascertained by the fact that the series win in Sri Lanka has come after 22 years. The team and management have made their way in the cricketing history books," Dalmiya is quoted as saying in a BCCI release.
"I also congratulate Mr. Virat Kohli for this victory. Mr. Kohli has been exceptional in his role as captain of the
Indian cricket team. He is doing an excellent job in building a new team and leading from the front," Dalmiya added.
BCCI Secretary Anurag Thakur extended his congratulations to Kohli-s young team. "My hearty congratulations to the Indian Cricket team on the Test series win in Sri Lanka. A special kudos to Mr. Virat Kohli on winning his first series as India-s Test captain and I hope this is the first of many for the captain and his young team. The boys can be very proud of what they have achieved and I am confident they will now strive for doing it on a consistent basis," said Thakur.
"The challenge for us is to create sustained success and to ensure that Team India-s performances keep on improving in the upcoming season. We believe we are putting in place the foundations to move in the right direction. We are committed to doing everything we can to achieve continuous improvement," Thakur added.
