Legendary West Indian commentator, writer and author, Tony Cozier has passed away at the age of 75
Legendary West Indian commentator, writer and author, Tony Cozier has passed away at the age of 75.
The Barbadian died in his home country after after prolonged illness. He had been admitted to a hospital on May 3.

Cozier, regarded as the voice of West Indies cricket, was born in July 1940 in Barbados.
Cozier began writing on cricket as a teenager in 1958 and will be remembered for a exemplary career in TV, radio and journalism spanning 58 years.
Cozier, whose father Jimmy was also a cricket writer, began his commentary career in 1965 during Australia's tour of West Indies.
In 2011, Cozier was awarded a honorary life membership of the Marylebone Cricket Club for services to the game.
In a July 2013 interview Cozier had said, "I am obsessed with the sport. I stay up late or wake up in the wee hours. I even stay up to watch Zimbabwe play Bangladesh but that doesn't last more than an hour. The IPL I don't see. I still write columns for three papers on a Sunday. I'm not going anywhere yet."
