Speaking on his fitness, the 33-year-old said that he had trained himself and tried hard to maintain his fitness during the gap, the Express Tribune reported.

He claimed his best Test figures of four for 33 against England in his final Test match in Sharjah.

The all-rounder made his Test debut against Bangladesh in 2001. He had played 34 Tests for Pakistan and scored 1860 runs at an average of 35.76. He also claimed 25 wickets at an average 58.40.
