Ranji Trophy: L Balaji to be player-cum-bowling coach in Mukund-led TN squad

Former India swing bowler Lakshmipathy Balaji will be Tamil Nadu squad's player-cum-bowling coach as they take on Baroda in the opening game of the Ranji Trophy at the Chepauk from October 1-4


Chennai: Former India swing bowler Lakshmipathy Balaji will be Tamil Nadu squad's player-cum-bowling coach as they take on Baroda in the opening game of the Ranji Trophy at the Chepauk from October 1-4.

India discard and left handed opening batsman Abhinav Mukund would be leading the state cricket team for the coming Ranji Trophy Season.

U Sushil and M Kaushik Gandhi would join the team for matches to be played at Indore against Madhya Pradesh from October 8th to 11th October and against Mumbai in Mumbai from October 15th to 18th October.

The team: Abhinav Mukund (Captain), Baba Indrajith (Vice-Captain), K Bharath Shankar, Baba Aparajith, Vijay Shankar, R Prasanna, K Dinesh Karthik (wk), Malolan Rangarajan, Rahil Shah, DT Chandrasekar, L Vignesh, M Mohammed, L Balaji and Jagannathan Koushik.
