Khan, who died in Islamabad overnight, served as president of the Pakistan Hockey Federation, and chairman of the cricket board and of the Pakistan Squash Federation. Jahangir said: "Under him we had a golden period in cricket, squash and hockey."u00a0
"What he did for sports in Pakistan will always be remembered," said Akram.
"It's because of his contribution that Pakistan held Olympic, World and Champions Trophy titles," said 1984 Olympian Hanif Khan.
