Danish Kaneria cleared of fixing charges

Pakistan leg-spinner Danish Kaneria was cleared in a spot-fixing investigation of a local Twenty 20 tournament after a local inquiry committee of the Karachi City Cricket Association (KCCA) declared him innocent, official said yesterday.

The inquiry committee of KCCA, the main cricket association of Pakistan's southern city of Karachi, cleared Kaneria of any further investigations in an ongoing probe into a match of the "National Super Eights Twenty20" held this year.

During the match he bowled just four deliveries before going off the field with a fitness problem.u00a0
