Dhaka: Shahid Afridi turned 34 on Saturday, but the Pakistani star all-rounder was in no mood to celebrate. "How can I celebrate when things are not looking good for me?" Afridi told Sunday mid-day on the eve of the marquee clash between India and Pakistan here.

Afridi is going through one of his torrid times in career at the moment. His last half-century came in July 2013 against West Indies. His highest score in last 16 ODI innings is an unbeaten 39. Afridi's last five-wicket haul was also in the same series.

Hoping to shine today
For a veteran of 375 ODIs, these statistics are a serious cause of concern for Pakistan. "I am hoping for my luck to come in tomorrow's game. It is a big match and all big players must rise. If we do it, we should be able to beat India. We are in good rhythm beating (hosts) Bangladesh here," said Afridi.

The flamboyant cricketer promised to throw a party if Pakistan wins today. "If we beat India then I will surely throw a party," he signed off.
