Balding Rooney delighted with hair transplant

Manchester United and England striker Wayne Rooney has expressed his delight after undergoing a hair transplant.

Rooney confirmed on his Twitter account he visited a top London clinic for treatment in a bid to restore his receding locks.

"Just to confirm to all my followers I have had a hair transplant.

"I was going bald at 25 why not. I'm delighted with the result."

Rooney, who was suspended for England's Euro 2012 qualifier against Switzerland on Saturday, said he was still a bit sore but promised to reveal his new hair as soon as possible.

"It's still a bit bruised and swollen when it dies down u will be first to see it. Anyone recommend any good hair gel. Haha," the 25-year-old tweeted.
