Asia Cup: Sri Lanka win the toss, elect to bowl against India

Skipper Angelo Mathews elected to bowl after winning the toss against India in their Asia Cup ODI at the Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Bangladesh today


Fatullah: Sri Lanka captain Angelo Mathews won the toss and sent India into bat in the Asia Cup one-day tournament in Fatullah on Friday.

Both teams won their opening matches in the five-nation tournament. Sri Lanka beat defending champions Pakistan by 12 runs and India routed hosts Bangladesh by six wickets.

Sri Lanka brought in an extra spinner, Ajantha Mendis, in place of seamer Suranga Lakmal. India also made one change, dropping fast bowler Varun Aaron to play all-rounder Stuart Binny.
