On November 4, PM Narendra Modi condemned the recent K-mob attack targeting a Hindu temple in Brampton, Canada, labeling it a “cowardly attempt” by extremists to intimidate Indian diplomats. He called on the Canadian government to ensure justice and uphold the rule of law. This statement follows earlier condemnations from India’s Ministry of External Affairs and the Indian High Commission in Canada, who emphasized the safety of Indian citizens. In this incident, Khalistani extremists targeted Hindu devotees at a consular camp held in collaboration with Brampton’s Hindu Sabha Mandir. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau also denounced the attack, asserting that acts of violence are unacceptable. This assault, part of a pattern of similar incidents in recent years, has heightened tensions amid an ongoing diplomatic standoff between India and Canada, highlighting concerns about growing religious intolerance.
