Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Pedro Sanchez, President of the Government of Spain, held a roadshow today in Vadodara to inaugurate the TATA Aircraft Complex, marking a significant milestone in India`s aerospace industry. The facility will serve as the Final Assembly Line (FAL) for the C295 aircraft, with a total of 56 units planned under the program. Of these, 16 aircraft will be supplied directly by Airbus from Spain, while Tata Advanced Systems Ltd. will manufacture the remaining 40 in India. This venture is notable as it establishes the first private sector FAL for military aircraft in the country. The inauguration highlights the strengthening of bilateral ties between India and Spain, particularly in defense and technology sectors, paving the way for future collaborations in aerospace manufacturing.
