J&K: Terrorists exchange fire with security forces in Jammu & Kashmir

Amid the assembly elections in the state of J&K, encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists at Adhigam and Devsar area. Indian Army officials conduct patrolling with the help of a dog squad. Security has been tightened in the valley to ensure peaceful polling in phase 2 of election. “Based on specific intelligence input, a Joint Operation was launched by the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir today at Arigam, Kulgam. During the search terrorists fired indiscriminately and a firefight ensued. Operation is in progress.” Chinar Corps, Indian Army posted on ‘X’.
