Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan paid homage to martyred soldiers at Pangode military station in Thiruvananthapuram.
The Governor also flagged of a cycle rally held in Thiruvananthapuram to commemorate the day
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma visted the Amar Jawan Jyoti in Jaipur to pay tribute to th martrys on the occassion
He also greeted the family member of war veterans during the event
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath arrived at Smritika' War Memorial in Lucknow to pay homage to the Kargil martyrs
In Delhi, defence personnel observed the day by paying homage at the National War Memorial or Rashtriya Samar Smarak
Another ceremony was held at Kolkata's Fort William which was attended by General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Command Lieutenant General Ram Chander Tiwari and other officials at Fort William
Meanwhile, National Cadet Cops in Thane district in Maharashtra and Jammu also marked the day by remembering those who sacrified their lives in the war for the nation
