On Wednesday evening, the BJP released its second list of candidates for 2024 Lok Sabha elections

Sitting MP from Nagpur, Nitin Gadkari's name was not included in the first list of BJP's Lok Sabha candidates raising speculations if Gadkari has been dropped

Gadkari was re-nominated from Nagpur after which his supporters started celebrating

Apart from Nitin Gadkari, other prominent names from Maharashtra nominated for Lok Sabha were Piyush Goyal from Mumbai North and Pankaja Munde from Beed

Gadkari is fondly called as 'highway man' or 'expressway man' of India considering the number of expressways he constructed across India as Transport and Highway minister

After releasing first list with 195 candidates last week, the BJP on Wednesday released list of more 72 candidates of which 20 were from Maharashtra
