Ratan Tata, the Chairman Emeritus of Tata Sons and one of the most respected and successful businessmen in the country turned 84 on Tuesday.
Besides his indomitable career, Tata is known for his philanthropic work which has won him praises on several instances. On his 84th birthday, wishes poured in from fans on social media as well as several renowned personalities such as Sadhguru, Harsh Goenka, Praful Patel among others.
"Dear Shri Ratan ji, my warmest greetings on this occasion. Your commitment and your sense of serving the nation stands as a stellar example of how business is an instrument of nation-building. My best wishes to you on this day. Much love and regard. Namaskaram. -Sg #RatanTata (sic)," Sadhguru tweeted.

"Warm birthday greetings to Padma Vibhushan Shri @RNTata2000 ji. Wishing him good health and happiness (sic)," Senior NCP leader Praful Patel's tweet reads.
Shobha Karandlaje, Union Minister of State, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, wrote, "Warm wishes to Sri @RNTata2000 Ji on his birthday. An icon of entrepreneurship and philanthropy, his conscientiousness has impacted millions of us. He, with his patriotic zest, persistently revolutionises innovation in India. May he be blessed with good health and long life. #RatanTata (sic)."
Tata shares his birthday with Dhirubhai Ambani, founder of Reliance Industries. Former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley was also born on this day.
Tata was born in Mumbai in 1937. He is the recipient of two of the highest civilian awards of India, the Padma Vibhushan (2008) and Padma Bhushan (2000).
