In the early hours of Wednesday, a 52-year-old property dealer was tragically shot and killed by his business partner in Maharashtra's Nagpur. The suspect is currently at large, and the incident occurred in the Mominpura area, as confirmed by an official from Tehsil police, stated a PTI report.
The victim, identified as Jamil Ahmad, was a resident of Hotel Rehman Chowk and had been engaged in a dispute with his partner, Parvez Mohammad Haroon (24). The dispute revolved around the distribution of earnings, which had previously resulted in altercations, according to the official.
Around 1:30 am, Parvez, accompanied by two other individuals, confronted Ahmad in the reception area of Hotel Rehman. In a shocking turn of events, Ahmad was allegedly shot in the eye by Parvez before the group hastily departed the scene, the report further stated.
The police have initiated an investigation into the matter and have registered a First Information Report under IPC section 302 (murder) based on a complaint filed by Jamil's wife, Nahida.

In another incident, a 28-year-old man is alleged to have killed his wife during a dispute in Nagpur, according to the police report on Wednesday.
The accused husband is currently on the run following the incident that occurred in the Shitala Mata Square area on Tuesday afternoon, as confirmed by an official from the Sakkardara police station, stated a report in PTI.
The victim, identified as Anusiya, also known as Dinya Shyamkishor Gajam (24), and the accused, Shyamkishor Tejlaal Gajam, had recently relocated to Nagpur from Balaghat in Madhya Pradesh. Both were employed as labourers at government quarters in the city, the official stated.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the couple frequently engaged in quarrels, with Shyamkishor suspecting his wife's faithfulness. On Tuesday evening around 8 pm, a heated argument escalated, leading to Shyamkishor allegedly striking her on the head with an iron rod, resulting in her immediate death.
Subsequently, the accused fled from the scene, as reported by the police official. Further investigations are ongoing, with Sakkardara police having filed a case under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code.
