The 38-year-old truck driver was crushed under a bus on Friday night in what the police believe to be a suicide attempt.

In the video, the driver threatened to be "no more" if BJP politician Pankaja Munde lost the Lok Sabha elections from Beed.

Sachin Kondiba Munde (38), a resident of Yestar in Ahmedpur, Latur, has been identified as the victim of the event, which occurred at approximately 9 p.m. on the Ahmedpur-Andhori road near Borgaon Pati, according to a police station official from Kingaon.

"The bus driver has been arrested, and an investigation is underway to find out whether it was an accident or suicide. It happened when Yalderwad's night bus stopped at Borgao Pat. Sachin was standing behind the bus and was crushed to death when it overturned," he added.

Assistant Inspector Bahuasaheb Khandare of the Kingaon police station stated that the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation bus has been seized as part of the investigation. The deceased, who was single and lived with his parents and brother, made the statement in a video that "Sachin will be no more if Pankaja Munde loses the poll." The video went viral at that time.

In an extremely close fight, Congressman Bajrang Sonawane defeated Pankaja Munde by 6,553 votes in the Beed Lok Sabha poll.

By coincidence, the Election Commission released the results of the Beed poll the latest on June 5 in the early morning hours.

According to the deceased's family, he had been silent and was depressed after the poll results. They also said that the village held his funeral ceremonies early on Saturday morning.

BJP leader Pankaja Munde lost the Beed seat, while the BJP could not manage to get a majority in Maharashtra.

Despite the loss, Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis has confirmed that he has been asked to continue to work in the government instead of quitting, in view of the party's dropped strength in the Lok Sabha polls.

Fadnavis addressed the party legislators on Saturday in Mumbai and explained to them the reasons for the defeat, for which he had taken sole responsibility. However, the MLAs, MLCs, and office-bearers tabled a resolution asking him to withdraw his offer to quit.
