The Guide takes you on a sinful dessert crawl around town to help you pick yours for this Valentine's

Rose of Damascus

In the sea of rich, gooey chocolate or whipped cream desserts, comes this absolutely clean and beautiful sweet bringing with it the flavours of the Mediterranean. Rose of Damascus is a rose flavoured sorbet topped with a caramelised sugar glaze, garnished with almonds and strawberries. Shaped like what else but a pink rose, the sorbet is sweet, cool and refreshing without giving you a brain freeze.

Death By Chocolate
It's not everyday that you sink your teeth into a dessert and go to heaven. But the DBC or the Death By Chocolate at Corner House comes highly recommended from every Bangalorean. This gooey, fudgy, chilled and crunchy dessert comes with rich chocolate cake layered with vanilla ice cream, built up further by chocolate sauce and topped with cream, cherries and nuts. And yes it's impossible to finish it by yourself, so all the more reason to share it with someone special this Valentine's.

Walnut Meringue
This dessert is only available on order or on weekends as a lot of effort goes into baking it. The Meringue is completely made out of roasted and ground walnuts and then baked in the oven till hard. It is then sandwiched with layers of thick, whipped cream and fresh strawberries.

Dark Chocolate Hazelnut Mousse
Though the dessert bay at Sunny's will make you wonder how you could possibly try to pile in all those delicious desserts at one go, woo your date with the hazelnut mousse this Valentine's. Made out of rich, dark chocolate mousse that comes with the flavour and crunchiness of real, roasted hazelnuts and not just essence, each bite is surprisingly crumbly rather than a smooth mousse-like texture. We suspect a bit of over baking might have resulted in this happy mistake. The dark chocolate adds a hint of bitterness to this rich number.

Six Layered Chocolate Cake
We suggest you ditch the calorie count and shun any worries for the six pack when digging into one of these. The cake has six evident layers which merge when warmed and could take you straight to chocolate paradise. Chocolate cream, fudge, ganache and some cream cheese make up some of the layers. We also suspected a filling of mousse in one of the layers. The cake is very sweet and can leave you satiated in just a few bites. So we suggest, order this sinful piece only if you are sharing it.
