The case of suicide by a Delhi police sub-inspector has taken a new turn. According to the sources, an official weapon kept in the armoury of Delhi police's security department, which the deceased sub-inspector Ajit Singh was looking after, had gone missing. The incident had reportedly led to an inter-department squabble.

"A 9 mm pistol is missing and the SI has alleged in his note that the six police officers who have been named in it used to bother Singh saying that he was the one who had stolen it and that they will get him booked for it, even when he, according to his note, had nothing to do with it.

Singh also mentioned in the note that it was one among these six men he had named in the note, who was behind theft of the weapon," the sources said and added that the deceased was even accused of selling the weapons outside to make money by his colleagues.
