roped in students from over 25 different colleges to raise a united voice against social evils like female foeticide and rape.
As a part of the festival called Manthan, students from 25 different Delhi University colleges along with those from IIT and IP University are going about the city performing streets plays to create awareness about these issues.
Organised by Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies, the festival aims to reach the maximum number of people. The students will also perform at government schools.
"Female foeticide and rape are rampant in our society. Even the educated class isn't free of the terrible atrocities. If we can influence even one person positively, our effort will be successful," said Aprajita Bharti, the coordinator of the festival.
The participating students have already performed at various malls, schools and markets. The fest, which started on January 22, will end on February 12.
