All in the party
Shah Rukh Khan's shaking a leg at the ladies' sangeet of FM Arun Jaitley's daughter's wedding function did not raise eyebrows. Not many were aware that King Khan was recently grilled for a little over four hours for investments in KKR, an IPL club, by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) that reports directly to the FM. But many were genuinely surprised to see the presence of Ketan Desai, former head of Indian Medical Association (IMA) whose license was cancelled and designation stripped following corruption charges. There was also Ashok Chaturvedi, an industrialist - twice convicted - now reportedly being probed by the SIT for black money.

He has started talking
Currently in the custody of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), former underworld don Chhota Rajan has now started talking to officers of the premier investigating agency about who all are in touch with Dawood Ibrahim and pay the Karachi-based don regular payments for "protection of all kinds". Bulk of the builders, interestingly, are from the Indian Capital and neighbouring Noida, and not from Mumbai, as expected. Next, Rajan has promised to offer a list of corrupt cops, followed by corrupt politicians.

Spare us, not Kolkata
Some of the world's top airlines have written to the TMC-ruled West Bengal government that they cannot run direct flights to Europe from Kolkata. First, there is lack of general traffic, and worse, there are no first class passengers. Kolkata is in the East and hence, there is an issue of an additional three hours time to the existing time of the flights. An enraged Mamata Banerjee, on hearing this, asked the head of Kolkata International Airport: "So, do they expect that I shift the capital to Delhi?" It's needless to mention that Kolkata's loss is a solid gain for Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Delhi and Mumbai.

Last Word
For Imran Khan, two things are needed to normalise relations between New Delhi and Islamabad: First, the army must back out of Pakistan's politics, and second, the neighbours should play cricket. PM Narendra Modi, who had an hour-long meeting with the former Pakistani cricket captain, maintained a stoic silence.
