Manager of a local club, Santosh (20), along with his girl friend Ranjitha (19)and his friend Lokesh (20) murdered Ranjitha's ex-boss Palani (30), for sexually harassing her. Palani ran Apricot Services, a company that supplied surveillance cameras.
Palani was notorious for making false promises of marriage to his female employees and then sexually abusing them. He tried to woo Ranjitha as well, but she did not give in. She then resigned from the job. But Palani's harassment continued. He kept calling her and sending her SMSes.
She told her boyfriend Santosh about this. He was enraged.
"He went to Palani's office on Tippasandra main road with Ranjitha and his friend Lokesh at night on January 16.
The three slit Palani's throat and slashed his palms," said DCP (East) B K Singh.
More to solveWhile the police have cracked this case, they still have to solve the other murders that have rocked the city recently. The South East police have formed four teams to investigate the murders in South Bangalore.
With regard to the triple murder case, in Jayanagar, police suspect that Jayashree might have been murdered because of her involvement in a chit fund business.
Investigations are on in the Sarvabhowmanagar murder case where a woman was killed on Wednesday.
Her husband is also being questioned, since he was not at work during the time of the murder.
