First, Britney Spears vied for our attention. Then, most of us were cued in to the boy band phase -- Backstreet Boys, Westlife and their ilk. And though most of us also went through a Bryan Adams phase, there are many who have not gotten over his husky, mellow voice, more often than not singing paens to love

The Canadian rock singer-songwriter is back in the country, five years after his 2006 tour, for a four-city tour. Though it is his fourth visit to India, the songs will be the ones that have been sure-fire hits with the audience earlier too -- Summer of 69, Run To You, 18 Till I Die -- songs whose lyrics you know pit-pat and which you can easily sing along to. That's what you've been doing for the past decade, anyway.

Berliners in the house
On Saturday and Sunday, 9.30 pm to 1 am
Where Zenzi, 183 , Waterfield Road, Bandra (W).
Call 66430670

If it's an Electronic festival, we'd like it better on the sands of Goa. But we are not complaining -- Zenzi will see a two-day indoor fest, Infest, featuring two acts from Berlin, with two of Mumbai's top DJs joining them behind the console. On Friday, Sese takes control of the decks. Resident DJ at Bar 25, one of Berlin's iconic clubs and record labels known for its quality sounds and all-round debauchery, Sese plays bass-oriented, groovy House music.

The opening act for the night is by The Idiots, who are actually three DJs who came together in London and now play in Mumbai, San Francisco and London.Saturday will see a crazy night made crazier by DJ brothers Andi and Hannes Teichmann. The Teichmann sets -- ping-pong sets with the two brothers playing each other the ball -- are consistently unpredictable. The brothers dramatically mix genres from Minimal and Acid to Chicago, Techno, Rock and House.

Can art be bottled up? Absolutely
Till Sunday, 10 am to 7 pm

You would've probably heard of Andy Warhol through his Pop Art experiments, the most familiar of which sported Marilyn Monroe. It was Warhol who was the first artist to paint the Absolut bottle -- he chose black against a yellow background for a bottle that he even wore as perfume sometimes.

After Warhol, a string of artists -- Francesco Clemente, Louise Bourgeois, Rosemarie Trockel, Jan Saudek, B ufffdatrice Cussol and even Subodh Gupta have put colour to the iconic bottle shaped like a traditional Swedish medicine bottle. If you are a fan of such iconic bottle art (or chug vodka as copiously as we do), check out the Absolut Art Collection in its debut Asia tour.

Succumbu00a0to your k-9 obsession
On Saturday and Sunday, 2 pm to 10 pm
Where Radio Club, Colaba.
Those who love their pooches and pugs will get to meet more of their kind this weekend as Dog A'Fair sees another carnival. There will be all sorts of ways to have fun with your canine friends including a photographer's stall where you can get a picture of yourself and your pets shot by a professional photographer. Be witness to two Shis-Tzus as they pledge their love for each other in a doggy wedding that takes place tomorrow at 6 pm (yes, we find this a tad bizarre too).

There will also be a 'barkery' from where you can buy your pet some treats, games, activities and agility demos to get your pet into shape as well as dog awards that will honour five people associated with the world of animals. Sign up your doggie in the personality pageant or adopt a pet for free at the adoption pound. You can also drop by the food court which will host a wine tasting session -- for only pet parents, of course.
