While the state government filed its objections before the state High court on Tuesday against People's Democratic Party leader and Bangalore serial blasts accused Abdul Nassar Madani, a trail on the same case has begun at the special court simultaneously.

This means that Madani's chances for respite are weak. The court summoned Madani and others who are presently in Central Jail to be present, and the next date of hearing was posted to April 7. This will prove to be a positive step towards prosecution against Madani's bail plea.

Madani, who was arrested in a very controversial manner from Kerala for his alleged role in the serial blasts had put up various points in his bail application terming his arrest as illegal, and based on the confessions of the other accused. The state had filed detailed objections in this case, whichu00a0 exceeded 200 pages, opposing the bail.
