For this evening, the SOI will perform with 65 musicians from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Poland, Ukraine, UK and Germany, besides India. The concert presented with the National Centre of Performing Arts (NCPA), will be conducted by Marat Bisengalier.

"Kailash Kher was the one who initiated this idea, and I'm sure this is going to be a great success. This is definitely the way to go in the future," says Bisengalier. "It's going to bring out the flavour of the city. I hope more people will get hooked on to the orchestra and help spread the music after this," he adds.

The Symphony Orchestra of India (SOI) are a favourite among connoisseurs of classical music and have worked with internationally renowned soloists including Michael Collins, Raphael Wallfisch, John Lenehan and Andrei Gavrilov and eminent conductors including Adrian Leaper and Alexander Annisimov. In the last Seven Seasons, the SOI presented great masterworks including Strauss' Don Juan and Stravinski's Firebell Suite and the Beethoven: symphony No. 9 in D-minor showcasing the virtuosity of the Orchestra.

The grand finale will witness the talents of Kailesh Kher singing along with the SOI. Keeping in mind the spirit of the evening, the 75-minute programme will be followed by dinner created by Master Chef Farrokh Khambatta of Joss.
