Prize catch: John Dory, a fish from the Australian region, is cooked in Lebanese sauce

Fu00a0BaR & Kitchen concentrates on Mediterranean cuisine. Chef Ajay Thakur believes in preserving the authenticity of every dish, so he introduces the food with a great deal of detail. The dining area has a neo classical feel, with the use of wood, bronze and glass. Black leather upholstery completes the look.

The meal began with amuse bouche, a complimentary offering. In our case, this was falafal with hummus.

Rubiyan meshwi or grilled prawns with tahina sauce and mesclun salad followed. The prawns were delightfully tender. Small portions of mushroom and porcini soup along with the Roub Bil Lahm Shourbet, and Middle-eastern spiced lamb and yoghurt soup followed. Cala marata eggplant (home-made pasta with calamari) in a French sauce was served next, followed by the main course and the dessert.u00a0

What's hot: The main course - John Dory (a fish from the Australian region cooked in Lebanese sauce) was a hit. The dessert menu had 3 types of tiramisu (raspberry, coffee and apple) served together with superb results.

What's not: Check with the restaurant if they have valet parking during lunch hour, otherwise it's impossible to finding a parking slot on that stretch of road.u00a0u00a0u00a0

Wallet factor: Meal for two (without alcohol) will cost between Rs. 1500 to Rs. 2000.

Where: No 2, Manandi Plaza, 3rd floor, St Marks Road.
