FIR against Kripashankar Singh

The Nirmal Nagar police at Bandra have registered an FIR against former Mumbai Congress president Kripashankar Singh under the Arms act.


A special investigation team (SIT) headed by additional commissioner of police Rajvardhan Sinha had raided Singh's residence at Shree Sai Prasad society, Bandra, on March 2, 2012.u00a0

During the raid the police team recovered 14 cartridges of 12 bore, 72 cartridges of .32 bore, 9 cartridges of 7.65 bore and 15 cartridges of 8 mm. Singh possesses an arms license, but illegally possessed 9 cartridges of 7.65 bore and 15 cartridges of 8 mm.

"We have registered a case against Singh for possessing more ammunition than the permissible limit," said an officer from Nirmal Nagar police station.u00a0
