Asserting enough is enough; poets and painters from across the nation and abroad have pronounced a war against the terrorism.
Poets along with artists have come together and have organised an exhibition to condemn the attacks on Mumbai.
The exhibition, which starts today and will continue till January 26, is being held under the banner of Shabdayuddh Aatank Ke Viruddh in Kala Dalan at Yashwantrao Chavan Natyagruha in Kothrud and will be inaugurated by Dr Satyapal Singh, commissioner of police.
"It's an effort to pay tribute to our heroes who attained martyrdom while fighting the terrorists on 26/11," said Sanjay Bharadwaj, Pune-based writer and poet. He added that the exhibition would be a catharsis for the artists to express their outrage against the 26/11 attacks on Mumbai.
Famous poets like Gulzar, Nida Fazli, Neeraj, Prasoon Joshi have agreed to send their poems for this exhibition. Also, city-based veteran poet and critic Dilip Chitre, Aasawari Kakde, Anjali Kulkarni and Deepak Karandikar will participate in the exhibition.
In the exhibition, a total of 100 posters and several photographs of bomb blasts that took place in Delhi, Jamshedpur, Jaipur, Malegaon and a series of bomb blasts in the local trains of Mumbai will be put on display.
