Conceptualised by the students of Symbiosis Institute of Media & Communication (SIMC), the affair is aimed at encouraging the country's commonfolk to get creative with their 24X7 gizmo, one that involves no extra cost, storage or maintenance trouble, whileu00a0 proving a mighty multimedia messenger.

DAM is an international film festival that will take place from February 1 to 3 in the SIMC campus at Pune, but entries for short films in three categoriesu00a0fiction, non-fiction and animationu00a0are invited from the world over.
"We are hoping more people from the Middle East, South Asia and Europe would send in entries," said co-ordinator Shagufta Ahmed. Attendees will include VJ-actor- director Luke Kenny (of Rock On! fame), fimmakers Kunaal Roy Kapur (The President is Coming), Dibaker Banerjee (Khosla Ka Ghosla), Anand Patwardhan and celebrated film critic Rajeev Masand, among others.
