Inspired by the 26/11 terrorist attack in Mumbai last year, Delhi-based Raj Comics has launched two books recreating the tragic incident and the future course with a superhero twist. The first part, '26/11', chronicles how the terrorists entered Mumbai through sea, killed the fishermen, moved in to the hotels and mercilessly killed the visitors before getting caught or killed by two superheroes Nagraj and Doga.

"In the entire recreation, we've made sure that in no way we hurt anyone's sentiments. That's why we have focussed more on the combating part like how our two superheroes go on evacuating the hotels, saving visitors and bringing to books the terrorists who were inside the hotel," says Sanjay Gupta, the writer of the series.

The second number in this high-on-action league is Halla Bol, which tells the reader that we shouldn't silently suffer from cross-border terrorism. To hunt down the terrorists, Nagraj goes to the neighbouring country and destroys the terrorists' camps. However, the cunning rulers of the neighbouring country tag Nagraj as a terrorist and demand for his custody in exchange for five terrorists. Though Nagraj is handed over to other country, he manages to prove his innocence and stop further damage to India.

"Instead of Pakistan, we've called the neighbouring country Ghuspaithistaan (Ghus-paithi-staan). The name suits them. However, we have kept intact the name of places that were attacked like Leopold Cafe and Bar, Hotel Oberoi, Hotel Taj," adds Sanjay. The books will soon be available on mobile phones and websites. An audio digest will also be created for it. "I have read the book. It's indeed interesting. Especially the kind of graphics they have used and the scripting they've done is very appealing," says a reader Mayank Chouhan.

GAME INSPIRED BY 26-11
Operation Mumbai, an online game launched by Hyderabad-based game developing company 7Seas Technology, is inspired by the last year's horrendous act of terrorism. The gamer gets into the shoes of a cop who has to kill a certain number of terrorists within a stipulated time to emerge as a winner. The game is available on the company's portal.
