Now its music that will sooth flood hit after public support that poured in various forms

Bangalore based music composer, singer Raghu Dixit, who is famed for his ghungroo, sarongs and Indo-world-folk-rock, has composed a song inspiring citizens to join hands in restoring the losses from recent state floods.

His song, 'Parbhath Hilaye' (we will move mountains), especially composed to inspire youth to unite during crisis like floods will be disseminated among them through different means, besides his own concerts.


"The song will inspire and unite youth to empower people in distress," Raghu Dixit told MiD DAY. "Instead of describing the tragedy, I have made an attempt to add hopes in lives of those distressed through my song."

Raghu Dixit, who had made a similar attempt to convey importance of unity through music, post Mumbai terror attacks, is busy performing his new composition made especially for youth.

'Parbhath Hilaye', a Hindi song, also with few Kannada lines, talks about calamities that disrupt normal lives. Besides addressing youth on importance of facing such situations united, the song, calls them to join and work for the flood hit.

Jamming with friends
While his friends M Bassi and Raghavendra Kamath have composed lyrics, Raghu has composed music and has lent his voice.

"My friends helped with the lyrics and I have composed music," adds Raghu Dixit. "The song will be fine tuned further with some more changes. The music is a happy melody to ensure that even kids could sing."u00a0

u00a0The song with words that include, 'Naye Suraj', 'Naye Chand' and 'Naye Sitare' also addresses the distressed on fresh lease of life and promises to bring hopes in their lives.

Raghu, besides singing it in his live concerts, plans to propagate it online that include posting on youtube and facebook to reach the youth online. He intends to perform in schools, making the children sing with him to create awareness on such happenings among kids.

"He is planning to bring it in video form roping in film stars," says MS Prasad, a dear friend of Raghu. "As of now he will continue to sing in his concerts and schools he visits and we will take it to maximum people through all possible means."
