Shiv Sena leader Neelam Gorhe alleges Nayna Pujari died because company failed to provide security measures
Shiv Sena spokesperson Neelam Gorhe has demanded Tanvir Saulat, Synechron's Executive Director for India, should be termed as the co-accused in the Nayna Pujari (27) rape and murder case. Gorhe alleges that the rape took place because Saulat failed to provide essential social security measures.
Car trouble
Nayna, who worked with the Synechron Technology Private Ltd, went missing on October 7 after she could not get a cab. She took lift in a cab, which had a substitute company driver and security personnel from her organisation, travelling in the car. She was found dead a day later in Rajgurunagar, some 30 km away. "The company should have arranged for a transport for Nayna when two cabs were available. There were people known to her in the car she eventually took," said Gorhe. She added, "Synechron authorities are trying to wash their hands off the responsibility."
Police have nabbed cab drivers Yogesh Ashok Raut (24 from Golewadi village in Khed) and Mahesh Balasaheb Thakur (24, from Sulu village in Khed) and security guard Rajesh Pandurang Chaudhary (23, also from Golewadi).
Vishwas Kadam, a cab driver and the fourth accused in the case, is absconding.
Senior PI Deepak Sawant said, "The police are also clueless about the other software professional, who reportedly took lift in Hinjewadi and got down at Magarpatta.
The police appeal to the software professional to come forward and assist us with the details of the crime."
